6th Grade - Personal Development (FACS I):  In this course we explore a variety of topics we can apply to our everyday lives.  These topics include building a community at home and school, learning how to be a successful middle school student, positive communication online and in person, maintaining personal safety, understanding goals and how to manage our money, understanding the importance of nutrition, understanding allergies and dietary restrictions, safely handling food, keeping ourselves safe in the kitchen, preparing a nutrition snack, and practicing dining etiquette. 

7th Grade - Life Management Skills (FACS II): In this course, we explore a variety of topics that relate to many aspects of your lives.  We participate in a sampling of activities and experiences that highlight creating positive peer and family relationships, exploring how to be a successful teenager in a variety of ways, making smart economic choices, caring for your personal environment, practicing safety and sanitation techniques in the kitchen, identifying and utilizing common kitchen equipment, preparing nutritious snacks, and becoming an active member of your community.

8th Grade - Life and Career Planning (FACS III):In this course, we explore a variety of topics that relate to your current lives as students and future lives as young adults.  Topics covered include: becoming an active and effective community member, developing healthy and successful relationships, practicing effective and positive communication strategies, exploring how social norms and expectations vary in different setting, making good choices for our overall health and wellness, practicing safety and sanitation techniques in the kitchen, preparing a nutritious meal, making smart financial decisions, and being an informed consumer.
