Concordia Lutheran Church - Food Ministry

The Food Ministry is based in the "Ark," a modular unit behind the church. Each Wednesday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the ministry gives out packages of bread, canned goods, produce and meat in sufficient quantities to feed a family of four for at least two days.

While the office is only staffed on Mondays through Thursdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, clients can call at any time and leave a voicemail. When leaving a voice mail please clearly state your return phone number. Each client is given a unique identification number to facilitate each pick-up. A new ID number is provided for every visit. Clients can visit only once in each calendar month.
PANTRY SERVES
Those living in ZIP Codes 22191, 22192, and 22193. Those in other ZIP Codes should call (703) 794-4668 to locate a pantry which serves their area. At the time when the appointment is made, pantry staff collect identifying information (address and phone number) and information regarding specific family needs. This latter information is used to better provide appropriate food to each family.

Saturday Mornings - 8 am - 10 am Drive-Thru Pantry (Pandemic)
The emergency food & clothing pantry is a non-profit service, staffed by parish volunteers and operated from the parish hall each Saturday morning. Due to Covid, we are now a drive-through pantry. Clothing is also available on Saturday mornings on a first come first serve basis. We ask anyone taking clothes to be considerate of the people after them and only take what they need. Feeding the Homeless
St. Paul has a tradition of providing aid and hospitality to the homeless and poor. St. Paul's Lord's Table provides a hot meal and fellowship every Thursday - 52 weeks a year - at 7 p.m. for those who have no place to call home. During the pandemic period, this meal is being served at various sites in Prince William County. St. Paul actively participates in meal support at the Hilda Barg Homeless Shelter, and along with the Community Council on Ministries, supports the Drop-In Center on a year round basis.
Food Pantry
St. Paul offers The Lord's Pantry, a food pantry which is open on the 1st Saturday each month 8am - 10:30am and on the 3rd Thursdays from 3pm-5:30pm in the church building. This program provides pre-selected groceries to families that live in the 22191, 22192 and 22193 zip codes, USDA food is also available based on household income. We are currently serving clients in the east parking lot. Please bring identification and proof of address, and wear a protective mask.
