GO SPARTANS!
Athletic Registration
It's that time of year again! We are excited to have your student interested in participating in athletics for the 2025-2026 school year.
Parents/Guardians of student-athletes intending to participate in athletics MUST upload their students’ most recent physical to ensure eligibility for participation. We have simplified this process through online digital registration.
Please follow these steps:
- Create an Arbiter Registration account (you only need one account for your whole family). You may create your account by clicking here.
- Activate your Arbiter Registration account using the activation link that will be automatically sent to your email. (Note: this email may go into your junk folder). If you are having trouble creating your account, receiving the activation email, or logging in, you may contact support at [email protected] or call us at 1-800-311-4060.
- Complete your pre-participation registration:
- Select the Pre-Participation for Athletics 2025-2026 program from the Saunders Middle School Registration Site.
- Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an email notification confirming we have received your registration.
If you need assistance with your online registration, please reach out to Arbiter Registration Support at 1-800-311-4060 or [email protected].
Student Athlete Education
Student-Athlete Education, formerly known as concussion education, must be completed annually as part of the online school athletic registration process. This education informs student-athletes and their parents/guardians about health-related topics, including concussion, heat-related illness, and sudden cardiac arrest.
Virginia law mandates that both the student-athlete and a parent/guardian review this information and sign a statement acknowledging receipt to participate in any athletic activity. Families with students participating in multiple sports only need to complete this education once each school year.
Middle school students trying out for a sport for the first time or who are new to PWCS may attend an in-person student-athlete education session with their parent/guardian. Please visit the following website for in-person dates and locations: PWCS Athletic Requirements
Sports Physical
Student-athletes must have a physical examination by a health care provider and have permission from the health care provider and parent/guardian before the participant may engage in any sport.
The sports physical must be completed and signed by the student, parent/guardian, and health care provider attesting that the student has been examined and found to be physically fit for athletic competition.
The form must be submitted electronically during the athletic registration process for the student. We will NOT be accepting paper copies this year. Please click below to access the new version of the physical form.
