Once Practices begin, Players MUST HAVE RIDES HERE PRIOR TO 4:50 PM Tuesday and Thursday and 4:15 on Wednesday or they must RIDE HOME ON THE ACTIVITY BUS. KNOW WHICH BUS YOU MUST RIDE HOME ON, KNOW YOUR CROSS STREETS. Parents caught in traffic or on errands is not a reason to refuse to get on the bus. Practices run from dismissal to 4:45 PM Tuesday and Thursday, and 4:15 on Wednesday at which time students are dismissed to get their gear and go home. Mondays there is NO ACTIVITY BUS so transportation must be arranged. Monday's practices will end at 4:30 PM.
We follow High School playing rules. School teams require you to meet and maintain academic and behavior standards. Good Sportsmanship and Fair play is required.
Everyone will not play, some players are learning so they can play next year, others may have to improve to bump out a starter. This is not developmental program.
Team Gear Update
Players will need to purchase the Team Socks and the Saunders Athletic T-Shirt. As an option the team may also purchase a white top with numbers and names to play in. Cost is TBA
Fall 2022 Game Routine
MONDAY GAMES WEAR JERSEY TOP AND YOU CAN WEAR JEANS, SHORTS OR SLACKS
GAMES ANY OTHER DAY ARE COLLAR SHIRTS AND SHORTS TO SLACKS.
- Game Day Routine:
- AWAY GAME - Study Hall 3:15 to Bus Departs about 4:15 PM
- Report to Coaches Room when Athletes are dismissed.
- Players will be told when to go Change and what time they are due back in Study Hall.
- ALL Players should have an SSR Book to read if they have no HW or do not need to study.
- Once a Week Grades will be verified on Fusion, no one should have missing assignments or a GPA less than "C"
- Please plan on bringing a PRE-Game Meal and Drink
About 4:15 the team goes to the Team Activity Bus - HOME GAME - Study Hall 3:15 Until Team goes to the Field to Warm Up at about 4:20
- Report to Study Hall Upon Dismissal of Athletes
- Players will be told when to go Change and what time they are due on the Field for Set Up
After Set up students return to the coaches room for Study Hall - ALL Players should have an SSR Book to read if they have no HW or do not need to study.

POST GAME ROUTINE
At Away Games all players not riding home on the Bus must be signed out by a parent. Those not returning on the bus will load the equipment on to the bus and proceed with coach to the Volleyball game on days we share the bus. The bus will depart for Saunders after the Volleyball concludes. Rides will need to be at Saunders to take players home.
For Home Games players will be assigned Take Down duties in the event we do not have parent volunteers to help. All Equipment must be accounted for and returned to the outside storeroom in neat condition.
Formations, size, speed and the opponent's strengths and weakness all go in to the formations we play. Your school work habits, GPA and attitude inside the school and on the playing field will also be a factor in play time.
